An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a collaborative and ambitious team in Chester.
This is an excellent opportunity for an established Private Client lawyer looking for a role offering genuine autonomy, high-quality work and the opportunity to play an active part in the continued development of the department. You'll work closely with experienced colleagues while building lasting relationships with individuals and families and further developing your technical expertise.
The Role
You will manage a varied private client caseload, advising individuals and families across a broad range of matters and providing clear, practical and tailored legal advice.
Your responsibilities will include:

  • Advising on Wills, estate and succession planning.
  • Handling Probate and estate administration matters.
  • Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
  • Building and maintaining trusted, long-term client relationships.
  • Supporting clients with empathy and professionalism through complex and sensitive personal matters.
  • Working closely with the Head of Department and wider leadership team to contribute to the strategic development of the practice.
  • Sharing knowledge and supporting the development of less experienced colleagues where appropriate.
  • Developing professional networks and identifying opportunities to generate new business.
  • Attending networking and business development events and contributing to the continued growth of the private client offering.

The Candidate
Applications are welcomed from Private Client Solicitors who can demonstrate:
  • A minimum of 5 years' PQE in Private Client law.
  • Strong technical expertise across Wills, Probate, estate administration and succession planning.
  • Experience managing a varied caseload with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Excellent communication and client care skills.
  • A sensitive and professional approach when dealing with clients and their families.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Commercial awareness and a proactive approach to developing client relationships.
  • A genuine enthusiasm for business development and contributing to the continued success of the team.
