Join a Leading UK Private Client Team as a Legal DirectorA standout opportunity has arisen for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a Tier 1 Legal 500 firm as a Legal Director. With a strategic goal to become the UK’s market-leading private client team, this national department is expanding under the leadership of its new National Head of Private Client and former STEP Yorkshire Chair.

This role is ideal for a technically proficient solicitor with an established niche and ambitions to grow their practice and mentor others within a firm that encourages specialization, autonomy, and leadership.

You will join a national team of over 130 private client professionals working on some of the most complex and high-value matters in the UK. Whether your expertise is in international estates, trust structuring, or agricultural wealth, support and growth opportunities are available to advance your career.

Who We’re Looking For

Private Client Solicitor ready for a Legal Director role (typically 8+ PQE)

Strong expertise in wills, trusts, tax, and estates, ideally with a niche focus

STEP qualified or willing to become STEP accredited

Commercially aware, client-focused, and team-oriented

Comfortable leading complex matters and mentoring junior lawyers

Salary and Benefits

£75,000–£80,000+ depending on experience

Bonus scheme

Hybrid working – typically 1–2 days in the office per week
