Privacy and Assurance Officer

Age UK is recruiting a Privacy and Assurance Officer to help deliver robust data privacy, assurance and risk management practices across the charity. We are seeking a capable compliance minded individual with good data privacy knowledge and a working understanding of the risk landscape to support key functions within our Assurance, Risk and Information Protection Team. The successful candidate will support the delivery of a refreshed and consolidated assurance and risk management framework, ensuring the charity can operate within its defined risk appetite and comply with relevant regulatory requirements. This will be a key role supporting our ambitious transformation plans, providing support to the wider organisation on assurance and risk management activities and striving toward continuous improvement as the team embeds the charity''s risk management and privacy framework. The postholder will primarily support the Senior Data Privacy Manager to process Subject Access Requests, Data Erasure and Suppression requests and other key privacy tasks to support the essential privacy function. They will also play a critical role contributing to organisational resilience by supporting risk management and business continuity activities. We operate a hybrid working model. We offer flexibility on working from home but require the applicant to be in our central London office a minimum of one day per week.
