Print Operator No 2

No. 2 Printer (Heidelberg XL106 CutStar) Reports To: Printing Manager Direct Reports: None Job Purpose We are seeking an experienced No. 2 Printer with Heidelberg XL106 CutStar experience to support the efficient operation of our printing presses. Working alongside the No. 1 Printer, you will help ensure all work is produced to the highest quality standards while maximising operational efficiency and productivity. The successful candidate will have experience with Heidelberg XL106 CutStar 10-colour presses and Heidelberg XL 6-colour presses with coating units, and will demonstrate a proactive approach to quality, maintenance, and teamwork. Key Responsibilities Maintain a continuous supply of paper to the press and prepare upcoming jobs to minimise downtime. Collect, prepare, and bend printing plates ready for loading onto the press. Work closely with the No. 1 Printer and wider production team to ensure quality, accuracy, and efficient workflow. Monitor and replenish consumables, reporting stock requirements to the Printing Manager as required. Demonstrate flexibility with shift patterns and overtime to meet production demands. Carry out routine maintenance tasks and respond appropriately to maintenance requirements. Maintain a clean and organised working environment, ensuring the press and surrounding area are kept to high housekeeping standards.
