We’re working with a leading UK consultancy who are building a new Bristol team. They are looking for a Principal Transport Planner to help shape and grow the team.

This is a key role for an experienced transport planner who’s ready to take ownership and lead on projects and play a pivotal role in developing the team.

What you’ll be doing:Leading on transport planning projects from feasibility through to deliveryPreparing Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, Parking Strategies, Access Strategies, and moreManaging and mentoring junior staff, helping to develop their technical and project skillsOverseeing junction modelling and TRICS assessmentsLiaising directly with clients, local authorities, and key stakeholdersProviding expert input into S106 negotiations and technical approvalsDriving business development opportunities in the Bristol and wider marketWhat we’re looking for:A relevant degree (Master’s in Transport or related discipline desirable)Extensive experience in UK development planning and transport policyProficiency in junction modelling and transport planning softwareA proven track record in client management and delivering high-quality transport solutionsWhat’s on offer:Competitive salary + performance-related bonusPrivate medical insurance, company pension, and enhanced holidayFlexible and hybrid working arrangementsA chance to help establish and grow a successful teamOngoing training, development, and career progressionIf you’re a driven transport planner looking for the next step into a principal-level role with real influence, this is the opportunity for you.
