Our ideal Principal Structural Engineer must have:Exceptional Structural Engineering knowledge with a deep understanding of key principles embedded in theory and practice, with a proactive approach to problem solvingExcellent verbal communication. An ability to communicate ideas, and effectively work with both clients and members of the design teamExperience relevant to UK practice and knowledge of UK design standards, codes of practice and methods of construction.Familiarity with structural engineering modelling, analysis, and design software (Tekla Structural Designer, Tedds and STAAD Pro, Revit, Navisworks, BIM360).The ability and willingness to supervise/mentor employees.In order to stand out from the crowd, it is desirable for you to have:Chartered membership of ICE or IStructEThe motivation to undertake relevant CPD and to increase skills and knowledgeExperience in day-to-day control of resourcing, programming, planning and costsEffective team management skillsExcellent report writing and presentation skillsAbout UsOur nationwide multidisciplinary team of 780+ employees, work collaboratively to deliver outstanding places and spaces that create lasting value for local communities.
