First People Solutions is working with a leading consulting engineer known for delivering complex, high-hazard projects across sectors including Power, Life Sciences, Defence and Aviation.

You''ll step into a senior leadership position on large-scale structural projects, overseeing multiple design teams and reporting into an Associate Director. You''ll be instrumental in driving high-quality, technically robust design across complex projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leading structural design across projects while managing and supporting teams
• Overseeing high-quality deliverables and providing technical direction
• Managing programmes, budgets, change and supporting bids
• Driving innovation, sustainability and safe delivery standards
• Mentoring engineers and supporting team development

Requirements:

• Chartered Engineer (CEng, IStructE) with a Civil Engineering degree (or equivalent) and 8-12 years'' UK consultancy experience
• Proven leadership of structural teams and delivery across multiple work packages
• Strong knowledge of UK design standards, codes and assurance processes
• Broad technical background across building structures, foundations, analysis and specialist sectors
• Proficient in structural analysis software, with experience reviewing complex models
• Commercially aware, with experience in budgeting and change control within multidisciplinary teams
• Good understanding of CDM, structural safety and UK regulations, with CSCS card, SC clearance eligibility and a full UK driving licence
