Based in Birmingham, the role will lead the design and development of advanced power electronic units and systems, supporting customer projects, research and development products, and the full product lifecycle through to validation and production readiness. Key Responsibilities: Lead the design of power electronic units and systems incorporating analogue and digital circuits, interfaces and multicore controllers Develop power electronics hardware for automotive applications, including inverters, on-board chargers, DC-DC converters and motor control systems Design gate drivers, low-voltage power supplies, detailed schematics and supporting PCB layouts Use simulation tools such as PLECS, LTspice, Simulink and MATLAB to support design development and verification Lead prototype builds and provide electronic support during system testing, integration and validation activities Produce design verification documentation and contribute to FMEA, reliability prediction and MTBF analysis Lead engineering change control and ensure project documentation is manag...
