About the Role As a Principal Engineer in Power Electronics, you will be instrumental in developing power electronics systems across various applications, from concept design to hardware implementation. This role involves creating requirements, circuit design, and prototype hardware for systems like traction inverters, DC-DC converters, onboard chargers, and related technologies. You will work in virtual, HiL, and hardware testing environments and manage projects that combine technical, commercial, and customer-facing elements. Key Responsibilities Design Leadership - Lead the design and specification of magnetics and capacitors for power converters and inverters. - Develop mixed-signal systems and processing platforms. Simulation and Testing - Perform simulations using tools like Simscape and PLECS - Collaborate on control strategies for power converters and inverters. Standards Compliance - Ensure designs meet standards such as IEC61508, ISO26262, and CISPR25. Project Management - Lead multi-person, cross-functional projects that are technically and commercially challenging. - Take ownership of large project proposals, business development, and marketing activities.
