The successful Principal Planning Enforcement Officer will be responsible for investigating breaches of planning control, determining appropriate courses of action, and progressing cases through negotiation, formal notices, and legal processes where required. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced enforcement professional who enjoys dealing with challenging and varied cases, including major development sites, Green Belt matters, Listed Buildings, Conservation Areas, and complex changes of use. You will work closely with Development Management team and external partners to ensure a joined-up approach to resolving breaches of planning control.
