Principal Mechanical Engineer Data Centres/Building Services Location: London Type: Permanent, Full-time Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience A leading international MandE consultancy is seeking an experienced Principal Mechanical Engineer to join its growing Data Centre and Technology team. Key Responsibilities Lead the mechanical design of complex data centre and technology projects. Manage projects from concept through to construction and completion. Lead and mentor mechanical engineering teams. Develop and review mechanical designs, specifications, calculations and technical documentation. Coordinate designs with clients, architects, contractors and other disciplines. Manage project programmes, deliverables, quality and technical compliance. Provide technical leadership and resolve complex engineering issues. Attend and lead client and design team meetings. Support project delivery, commercial management and business development. Ensure designs comply with relevant UK regulations, standards and Health and Safety requirements. Requirements Degree/HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. CEng with professional membership such as CIBSE or IMechE. 10+ years'' experience in mechanical engineering, ideally within consultancy. Strong experience delivering data centre, mission-critical or other complex building projects. Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering teams.
