A growing building services consultancy with a strong national reputation is seeking a Principal Mechanical Engineer to join their new Birmingham office. This is a rare opportunity to play a key role in shaping a young, ambitious team within a business that already has an excellent standing with Tier 1 contractors and a track record of delivering complex, high-value projects.

About the Role
You''ll be the go-to Mechanical lead between the Director and Graduate Engineer, providing technical leadership, mentoring, and hands-on project delivery. The business is heavily invested in growing the Birmingham office, with long-term plans to expand further across the UK, giving you the chance to help shape the future direction of the team.

Projects & Sectors

• Major projects in healthcare (including schemes up to -120m MEP value)

• Significant work in residential and education, including a -50m school scheme

• Projects are typically delivered at detailed design stage, offering strong client exposure and technical depth

The Team
You''ll be joining a close-knit team of five. The aim is to grow the team steadily to 8 this year and 12 the following, creating a balanced and highly capable unit.
