As a Senior Mechanical Engineer, you’ll play a pivotal role in delivering technically complex, high-performance data centre projects across Europe. This is your opportunity to lead from the front, influence design strategy, and work with some of the most respected names in the mission-critical sector.
Responsibilities
Lead the full mechanical design lifecycle, from early-stage concept development through detailed design, construction support, and commissioning.
Design and deliver HVAC systems, chilled water networks, CRAC/CRAH units, ventilation strategies, and fire protection systems tailored to hyperscale and colocation data centres.
Ensure designs comply with Uptime Institute Tier standards, ASHRAE guidelines, and local European regulations while pursuing energy efficiency and resilience improvements.
Serve as technical lead on major projects, manage client relationships, and coordinate with multidisciplinary teams.
Mentor junior engineers and communicate complex ideas clearly to build trust with clients and drive project success.
Collaborate with a UK-based team and the global engineering design centre, leveraging world-class resources and expertise.
Qualifications
Strong background in mechanical building services, ideally with experience in mission-critical environments.
Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, IES VE, and CFD software; solid grasp of thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, and energy modelling.
Chartered status (or working towards it) is highly desirable.
