Join the Fusion and Modular Nuclear Business Unit. Reporting to the FEED Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for delivering Front Engineering activities for Small Modular Reactors, Advanced Modular Reactors and Fusion projects. The Principal Engineer will work closely with multi-disciplined teams and deliver scope through leadership of an engineering design team.Your mission
Spearheading the delivery of cutting-edge power station systemsTaking charge of optioneering studies to pinpoint the ultimate solution that aligns with client objectivesLeading a dynamic team in crafting and refining essential design documents, from Process Flow Diagrams to Equipment DatasheetsDirecting the development of Design Description Documents and Requirement SpecificationsSeamlessly integrating developed systems into the broader plant infrastructure for optimal performanceServing as the technical guru for designated scopes, ensuring top-notch expertise and oversightChairing Design Reviews and leading HAZID/HAZOP studies with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safety and excellenceEnforcing strict adherence to company Health and Safety policies and regulations, while complying with project and Quality Management System standardsWhy Join the Community of Switchers

Strong experience in highly regulated industries like nuclear, thermal power generation, or oil and gasExpertise in thermal power systems and equipment, with understanding of nuclear power plant operationsProficiency in optioneering and studies to evaluate viable options, with ALARP and BAT argumentationExperience mentoring and developing junior staff with leadership of small teamsExcellent communication skills for internal and external stakeholdersFamiliarity with ASME, European, and UK codes and standards, and knowledge of Product Safety LegislationAppreciation for requirements management and systems engineering principlesResults-oriented with ability to work independently or collaboratively and strong organizational skillsBritish National with eligibility for full UK security clearanceAdditional Information
