The role involves collaborating with functional teams to develop products that meet customer requirements and engaging in cutting-edge research of novel mechanical technologies.Key Responsibilities:Carry out Mechanical Design and proving activities as part of a wider team for prime and variant products, including both piece parts and assemblies.Support and liaise with manufacturing teams to resolve manufacturing problems and defects.Provide support for functional and environmental testing and trials.Collaborate with suppliers and purchasing departments to resolve technical queries.Plan and report on day-to-day activities to meet project milestones.Gain and clarify requirements, and challenge extraneous requirements to reduce lead time, costs, and design complexity.Job Requirements:Experience using Creo 3D design tool.Knowledge of several of the following: Manufacturing processesTolerance studiesEnvironmental testMass property calculationsMaterial selectionFMEADesign for Manufacture/AssemblyEnvironmental gasket sealingTo...
