Principal Mechanical Design Engineer - Building Services

We are recruiting an experienced Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to join an established MandE contractor in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for a senior-level Mechanical Design Engineer who wants to remain technically hands-on while taking the next step in their career towards design management. The successful candidate will take a lead role within a small building services design team, providing technical guidance and support to other engineers while remaining actively involved in the delivery of mechanical designs across a range of projects. The Role This is a hands-on technical position combined with responsibility for leading and coordinating a small design team. Responsibilities will include: Producing detailed mechanical building services designs Mechanical HVAC and public health services design Producing and developing designs using Revit and AutoCAD Carrying out mechanical calculations and equipment selections Producing technical drawings, specifications and design documentation Reviewing designs and technical information produced by other engineers Coordinating mechanical designs with electrical, architectural and structural disciplines Taking a lead role in allocating and coordinating design workloads Providing technical guidance and support to junior and intermediate engineers Mentoring and developing members of the design team Ensuring designs are practical, coordinated and suitable for installation Working closely with ..... full job details .....
