A team of lawyers providing pragmatic legal advice to internal clients, primarily on planning and property matters, and other areas as needed.Role and Responsibilities
Lead, direct, develop and improve the legal service to operational teams, primarily in planning and highways and property.Manage a team and a busy caseload, maintaining quality assurance and performance standards.Be highly organised, proactive, flexible, able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.Ensure value for money and high standards of service for the Council.Collaborate with the Assistant Director of Legal Services on corporate activities and transformation plans.Support business transformation and provide strategic legal advice across the department.Qualifications and Requirements
Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives (or equivalent).Experience in public sector preferred; private sector applicants are welcome.Adept at managing staff and a challenging workload and providing innovative legal solutions.How to Apply
