      <description>Location: Essex | Salary: 55.00-55.00 Hourly | Type: Contract | I''m currently working with a Local Authority in Essex seeking an experienced Principal Housing Lawyer to support their Housing and Property team.Location: Essex (Hybrid, 3 days office/court attendance)Rate: 60-65 per hourContract: Full-time, Interim (36 hours per week)The role will involve providing legal advice and representation across a broad range of housing matters, including:Homelessness and housing allocationsTenancy management, possession proceedings and evictionsAnti-Social Behaviour (ASB) matters and injunctionsHousing disrepair claimsHousing litigation and judicial reviewsPolicy advice and legal risk managementYou will manage a varied caseload, draft legal documentation, support key stakeholders, and conduct or oversee advocacy where required.Key requirements:Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or CILEXStrong housing law experience, ideally within local government or social housingAdvocacy experience in County Court and/or Magistrates'' CourtExperience handling landlord and tenant matters, ASB, possession proceedings and housing litigationGood knowledge of housing legislation and Civil Procedure RulesIf you''d be interested in hearing more, please get in touch and I''d be ha...</description>
