Principal Geotechnical Engineer Reading 50,000 - 60,000An exciting opportunity has become available for an experienced Principal Geotechnical Engineer to join a well-established multidisciplinary engineering consultancy based in Reading. This role is suited to a technically strong engineer looking to take the lead on a varied portfolio of geotechnical projects while mentoring junior staff and supporting the continued growth of the team.Working across infrastructure, commercial, residential and energy developments, you will be responsible for delivering projects from initial ground investigation through to detailed geotechnical design and reporting.The role:Leading and managing geotechnical projects from tender stage through to completionPlanning, specifying and supervising ground investigationsProducing and reviewing geotechnical interpretative reports and foundation recommendationsUndertaking geotechnical analysis including foundations, retaining structures, earthworks and slope stabilityProviding technical guidance and mentoring to graduate and intermediate engineersLiaising directly with clients, contractors and multidisciplinary design teamsPreparing fee proposals and supporting business development activitiesEnsuring projects are delivered on time, within budget and to a high technical standardRequirements:Degree in Civil Engineering, Engineering Geology or a related disciplineChartered status, or working towards ChartershipStrong background in geotechnical design and ..... full job details .....
