Principal Geotechnical Engineer

Access have partnered with a British Multidisciplinary Engineering Consultancy who are expanding their team in Newcastle. Our client has Highways, Structural and Geotechnical Engineers in their ranks, and it’s the geotechnical team that is looking for a Principal Engineer after a period of growth and success on UK based projects. Our client focusses across multiple sectors, including infrastructure, rail, highways, energy, high-rise and basement construction.In this role as a Principal Geotechnical Engineer, you will be supporting the Technical Director and Senior Leadership with mentoring and managing more junior and inexperienced members of the design team. In this role, you’ll be expected to push yourself hard, managing project delivery, acting as a technical knowledge and advice beacon, getting involved with hands-on design work, and proving yourself suitable for AD and Manager roles by setting an example with BD/Commercial development.To be successful in this role you must have:7+ years’ experience working in a fast-paced Geotechnical Design consultancyA degree in Civil Engineering or similarPlaxis 2D and 3D software experienceThe right to live and work in the UKThe ability to be based around NewcastleA desire to get involved in the nitty-gritty of running a teamThis is a great opportunity to work with an organisation that is offering a clear and short path to career progression.
