Principal Engineer - Support Engineering

Our client, a leading organisation within the defence and security sector, is seeking a Principal Engineer specialising in Support Engineering and Reliability Centred Maintenance. This contract role will support the development and delivery of reliable, maintainable engineering solutions across submarine-related programmes, with opportunities available in Barrow, Brough or Filton.Key Responsibilities:Providing senior engineering expertise across Support Engineering and Reliability Centred Maintenance activitiesDeveloping and applying reliability, maintainability and supportability engineering principlesLeading Reliability Centred Maintenance analysis and producing clear technical recommendationsSupporting the identification of operational, maintenance and equipment reliability requirementsPreparing and reviewing technical documentation, engineering reports and supportability evidenceWorking collaboratively with engineering, design, maintenance and project teamsContributing to risk assessments, technical reviews and continuous improvement activitiesCommunicating complex engineering information clearly to internal and external stakeholdersJob Requirements:Significant experience working as a Principal Engineer or in a senior engineering positionStrong knowledge of Support Engineering, Reliability Centred Maintenance and reliability engineering principlesExperience within the defence, security, marine, submarine or other highly regulated engineering environmentUnderstanding of ..... full job details .....
