Principal Engineer - Mechanical

A great new opportunity to join a Water sector specialist who has recently been awarded tier-one framework status with South West Water and Bristol Water. My client, a national contractor with a company turnover of 200 million, requires a Principal Mechanical Engineer to be involved in Turnkey clean water with values from 20 million to over 100 million. As Principal Mechanical Engineer you will co-ordinate the design and produce design documents and drawings, taking into account health and safety requirements, specifications and standards pertaining to the contract. As Principal Mechanical Engineer you will: Be responsible for producing cost-effective design layouts to meet specification requirements and which can be constructed and commissioned effectively. Ensure that designs take into account all environmental and health and safety requirements. Write, monitor and review procedures and processes, ensuring continued development of the department. Assist in supervising and developing staff. Coordinate designs with all internal and external stakeholders Provide estimates and feedback for the Proposals department. Maintain files and records throughout the duration of contracts. Our client requires as Principal Mechanical Engineer with: Excellent communication skills. HND/Degree in relevant engineering discipline A membership of a professional institution (chartered) Experience of producing designs of process plant systems, ideally within the Water sector.
