Principal Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Principal Engineer to take charge of our design team and help shape the future of our engineering capability. You’ll lead a team of five skilled engineers, collaborate with manufacturing and estimating departments, and deliver high-quality solutions to a wide range of customers across multiple industries.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the design, planning, and execution of diverse engineering projects.
• Mentor and develop the design team to support future growth and customer confidence.
• Drive cost and quality improvements through continuous improvement initiatives, supported by measurable KPIs.
• Champion the adoption of new technologies and products to gain competitive advantage.
• Build strong client relationships and ensure alignment of technical solutions with customer needs.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and governance across all design and manufacturing stages.

Skills & Experience Required:

• In-depth knowledge of electrical systems and components, ideally within control panel manufacturing. High
• level proficiency with CAD software and design support tools.
• Proven leadership experience, with a background in continuous improvement and change management.
• Strong communicator, able to collaborate across all levels internally and externally.
• A solution-focused mindset with the ability to lead and inspire others.
• Knowledge of PLCs and programming is an advantage, but not essential.
