Principal Electronics Systems Engineer

Location: IOW. - Full relocation package provided.-

I''m working with a client in the advanced engineering sector who is seeking a Principal Electronics Systems Engineer to join a multidisciplinary team developing complex electronic systems and next-generation technologies.

This is a senior technical role where you''ll provide leadership across the engineering lifecycle, helping to define system architectures, solve complex technical challenges, and support the delivery of high-quality engineering solutions. You''ll work closely with specialists across multiple disciplines, ensuring designs are robust, compliant, and fit for purpose.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and support for complex electronic system development.

  • Define and manage requirements from component and board level through to full system integration.

  • Support engineering teams throughout the design lifecycle, from concept and development through to verification and delivery.

  • Contribute to system architecture decisions and technology selection.

  • Define test, integration, and validation strategies.

  • Support design assurance activities and help ensure systems meet performance, quality, and compliance requirements.

  • Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to resolve technical challenges and drive successful project outcomes.

What We''re Looking For

  • Degree-qualified in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience.

  • Strong background in electronic systems design and development.

  • Experience working across the full engineering lifecycle, from requirements capture through to testing, integration, and final sign-off.

  • Understanding of digital electronics and complex embedded systems.

  • Experience working within regulated, safety-critical, or high-integrity engineering environments.

  • Strong systems thinking, problem-solving, and technical decision-making skills.

  • Ability to provide technical guidance and influence engineering direction across multidisciplinary teams.
