Principal Electronic Design Engineer

We are recruiting on behalf of a electronics engineering organisation looking to appoint an experienced Principal Electronic Design Engineer to take a leading role across a range of complex engineering projects. This is a senior technical position suited to an experienced electronics engineer who enjoys taking ownership of projects, coordinating engineering activity and providing technical guidance to other engineers, without necessarily wanting a traditional people-management role. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior or Principal Electronic Design Engineer looking for a role that combines technical engineering knowledge with project ownership, technical leadership and the opportunity to influence how engineering projects are delivered. Principal Electronic Design Engineer - The role - PCB, Circuit Design, Prototype, Test, Manufacturing You will act as a key technical point of contact across multiple projects, helping to ensure electronic and hardware engineering deliverables are completed to the required standards of quality, safety, cost and timescale. A major part of the role will involve project coordination and technical leadership. You will work closely with engineering colleagues, project managers and other stakeholders to define requirements, plan engineering activities, resolve technical issues and ensure projects progress effectively from concept through design, verification, validation and delivery.
