Arup . Data Centres are a core component of infrastructure; this role leads electrical design in the data centre space, guiding projects from brief through scheme and detail design to installation and commissioning support.Responsibilities
Leading the planning and management of electrical work packages on medium and large-scale complex mission-critical projectsEnsuring all designs and documents are prepared and reviewed to the highest standardsLeading projects and working closely with data centre clients to deliver quality work that meets their needsPresenting technical material for review by technical and non-technical audiencesContributing to conceptual design studies and reports for discipline and packageMentoring junior team members in career development, including technical and soft skillsManaging finances and staffing resources to ensure delivery within budgets and timescalesCollaborating with multi-disciplinary teams across local, regional, and global levelsQualifications and Experience
Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or related field (Master’s level or equivalent preferred), Chartered Engineer status (CIBSE / IET or equivalent)Experience as a Senior/Principal engineer with leadership in fast-paced, highly technical Data Centre projects; ability to lead multi-disciplinary design teams and manage projects from inception to completionExperience leading complex electrical engineering projects in data centre environments; ability to convey technical concepts clearly through drawings and documentationProficiency in electrical design software and power system modelling tools (e.g., SKM, ETAP) with experience in power flow studies, short circuit, and arc flash analysisStrong planning and organization skills in fast-paced, multidisciplinary environmentsWhat We Offer
