You will have a strong background in building services design, excellent site knowledge, and a genuine passion for working with existing buildings, then this is the perfect role for you. This role is for someone who can confidently lead projects and articulate technical concepts clearly, with a good appreciation for the wider mechanical discipline.
Role and Responsibilities:
Join one of the longest established building services consultancies in the UK, a forward-thinking firm that is now at the forefront of using real data to inform design and deliver decarbonisation strategies for major clients. As part of the newly formed ''Operational Assets'' team, you will be helping to maximise the value and operational efficiency of buildings, designing for people, not just assumptions.
As a Principal Electrical Engineer in a hybrid role based, you will have a fantastic opportunity to take ownership and make a real impact. Your key responsibilities will involve running your own projects from start to finish, acting as the main point of contact for a diverse portfolio of clients, and driving projects forward. Day-to-day activities will include a blend of design work for reconfigurations and refurbishments, conducting site surveys and investigations, and contributing to long-term strategic decarbonisation frameworks.
 
What you''ll need:
·Experience as a Senior or Principal Electrical Engineer.
·A strong background in building services design for existing buildings.
·Excellent client-facing and communication skills.
·Proven experience conducting site surveys and investigations.
·A deep interest in decarbonisation, net-zero strategies, and data analysis.
·Experience within the property consultancy sector is highly advantageous.
·An appreciation for mechanical engineering principles.
