      <description>Location: East Sussex | Salary: Negotiable | Type: Permanent | A leading engineering contractor is seeking a  Principal Engineer  to join its water and wastewater team. This senior role will provide high-quality engineering design services across turnkey and engineering services contracts, ensuring designs are cost-effective, safe, and constructible.   Key Responsibilities:    Produce design layouts that are economically viable and meet contract specifications.  Coordinate designs across disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery.  Prepare design documents, drawings, and technical reports.  Support proposals and provide design feedback to commercial teams.  Develop, monitor, and improve departmental procedures and processes.  Mentor and supervise staff, fostering professional development.  Ensure designs comply with health, safety, and environmental requirements.
