Principal Educational PsychologistPermanent South Essex Hybrid WorkingSoulbury Scale B Points 12-15 (£72,999 - £77,184)Plus access to up to 3 additional SPA points (£78,591 - £81,425)An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and strategic Principal Educational Psychologist to lead and shape a high-performing Educational Psychology Service within a forward-thinking local authority in South Essex.About the roleLead the strategic direction and operational delivery of the Educational Psychology Service.Drive high-quality, evidence-based psychological practice across schools, settings, and wider services.Ensure effective delivery of statutory SEND responsibilities and psychological advice.Provide expert leadership on inclusion, mental health, wellbeing, and safeguarding.Develop and support a skilled Educational Psychology workforce through supervision, induction, coaching, and professional development.Work collaboratively with senior leaders and multi-agency partners to influence system-wide improvement and integrated working.About youA recognised postgraduate qualification in Educational Psychology.Registration with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Practitioner Psychologist.Significant local authority Educational Psychology experience.Extensive knowledge of SEND legislation, statutory processes, safeguarding responsibilities, and the strategic frameworks that underpin effective service delivery.Experience of leading Educational Psychology services ..... full job details .....
