Principal EDS Engineer

Principal EDS Engineer £60-75k + benefits Stoke-on-Trent area, Staffordshire - 5 days onsite This role is open to a senior engineer looking to progress or principal engineer, hence the broad salary range. The upper end would be principal. Background: Principal EDS Engineer This role involves technically leading a small team of electrical engineers working on the design and development of electrical distribution systems for complex agricultural machines / vehicles. In this role you will become the technical authority for a range of products, owning electrical schematic and harness design and delivery for the machines. You will mentor, lead and develop the team and contribute to next generation products, implementing new ideas and technologies. The ideal candidate will be a senior electrical design engineer or principal EDS engineer with excellent electrical engineering competence within electrical schematic and harness design of low voltage DC systems (e.g. 12v or 24v). In addition, team and project leading experience would be preferred. The company manufactures a range of complex, high value agricultural vehicles incorporating a broad array of electronic sensors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and intelligent capabilities. Candidates that have worked on the design of agricultural machinery design would be preferred, although other products can be considered.
