Principal Design Engineer
Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including site teams, project managers, permanent works designers, and specialist subcontractors, to ensure designs meet operational, programme, and safety requirements.Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior engineers and designers.Conduct site visits and inspections to validate design assumptions, assess compliance, and resolve technical issues during construction.Participate in temporary works coordination meetings, risk assessments, constructability reviews, and design reviews.Ensure temporary works designs are fully integrated into project delivery plans and comply with CDM regulations, industry standards, and company procedures.Support innovation and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance design efficiency, buildability, and safety performance.Keep up to date with the latest developments in temporary works engineering, construction methodologies, and industry best practice.,Person SpecificationBachelor''s degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related discipline. A Master''s degree is desirable.Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or actively working towards chartership.Significant experience in structural engineering and temporary works design within the civil engineering or construction industry.Strong understanding of temporary works procedures, governance, and design requirements in accordance with relevant British Standards and industry guidance.Experience ..... full job details .....
