Principal Data Modeller £650-£750 per day | Inside IR35 | West London (1 day per week) | Initial 6 Month Contract We''re looking for a Principal Data Modeller to join a major enterprise data transformation programme, helping shape the future of a modern, event-driven data platform.This is a hands-on role for an experienced data modelling specialist who can operate across both strategic and technical domains. You''ll own enterprise data models, define modelling standards, provide design assurance, and work closely with architects, engineers and product teams to ensure data products are scalable, consistent and fit for purpose.If you thrive in complex data environments and have strong experience with Kafka-based event-driven architectures, this is an opportunity to make a significant impact. What You''ll Be Doing Own and maintain enterprise conceptual, logical and physical data models.Define and govern modelling standards, patterns and best practices.Provide technical guidance and assurance across multiple data product teams.Translate business requirements into scalable, enterprise-grade data designs.Review data models and physical implementations to ensure consistency and quality.Drive alignment between source-aligned, domain-aligned and enterprise semantic models.Support architecture governance, design reviews and design assurance activities.Partner with architects, engineers, SMEs and product owners to solve complex data challenges.
