What will you be doing?
-Leading the design, development and integration of advanced control systems
-Reviewing and approving system architectures, designs and technical specifications
-Taking ownership of testing, validation and commissioning activities
-Managing technical delivery across projects, including quality, performance and compliance
-Working closely with software, hardware, workshop and project teams to deliver successful outcomes
-Leading technical discussions with clients and project teams to resolve issues
-Supporting bids and providing technical sign-off during the tendering process
-Mentoring engineers, developing team capability and providing line management support
-Managing project resources, budgets, reporting and close-out activities
Where you''ll be doing it?
You''ll be joining a long-established engineering business with over 50 years of experience delivering digital transformation and system integration solutions across energy, nuclear and industrial manufacturing. The company works on complex, safety-critical projects and has a strong presence across the UK.
What you''ll need:
-At least 7 years'' experience in systems engineering, hardware design or electrical design
-Strong knowledge of control systems and associated software and hardware
-Experience with tools such as AutoCAD Electrical, SCADA packages, PLC packages and HMI packages
-Experience applying systems engineering principles and system integration processes
-Good understanding of project management, including cost control and client management
-Basic understanding of contractual and commercial requirements
-Experience of software development and hardware integration
-Experience working on client sites
-Strong communication and presentation skills
-Ability to provide technical input during bids, including estimating time and effort
-Leadership experience, with the ability to mentor, guide and support engineering teams
-Experience in highly regulated industries would be useful
