Our client is looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to provide technical leadership and oversee the successful delivery of major infrastructure projects. This role is ideal for a Chartered Civil or Structural Engineer with a proven track record of leading multidisciplinary teams, managing complex engineering schemes and maintaining strong client relationships.

The successful candidate will lead the design and delivery of projects from concept through to completion, ensuring technical excellence, regulatory compliance, programme delivery and commercial performance. Alongside mentoring engineers and providing technical guidance, the role also involves supporting business development through client engagement, proposal writing and identifying new project opportunities.

Applicants should hold an ICE or IStructE accredited Civil or Structural Engineering degree, be Chartered (CEng) and have experience acting as a Contractor''s Responsible Engineer (CRE). A minimum of eight years'' relevant experience is expected, along with excellent leadership, commercial awareness and stakeholder management skills. Knowledge of NEC4 contracts, Sentinel PTS certification and a full UK driving licence would be advantageous.

This position will involve occasional site visits, with some overnight and weekend work required as projects demand.
