Principal CE&I Protection Engineer - Hybrid (Sellafield Project)
Location: Warrington - 1 day per week on-site, 4 days WFH (with occasional site visits)
-56-61/hour Inside IR35

Project: Sellafield Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade - Infrastructure Strategic Alliance

The Opportunity:
Join the CE&I design team delivering power systems and protection engineering for a high-profile Sellafield project. You''ll play a key role in shaping the Electrical Distribution Network Upgrade through cutting-edge modelling, fault analysis, and protection system design.
Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain the project''s working ETAP model
• Produce and review fault calculations
• Support protection and control system design for 11kV & 400V networks
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality designs

Essential Experience:

• Strong knowledge of BS EN 60909 Fault Calculations
• Skilled in power distribution modelling software
• Hands-on experience with protection and control systems (11kV & 400V)

Desirable Experience:

• Familiarity with Sellafield Design Processes
• Experience with CAD tools such as Trimble, ERACs, Digsilent
• Knowledge of IEC61850 and power systems SCADAs
• Chartered Engineer status, or working towards chartership in a relevant discipline
