We''re recruiting for an experienced Principal C&I Engineer to support a major nuclear fuel enrichment programme. This is a long-term contract offering hybrid working and a competitive -65 per hour Ltd (Outside IR35) rate.

You''ll lead C&I design activities across the full project lifecycle, providing technical leadership, managing multidisciplinary interfaces, reviewing and approving designs, and mentoring engineers to deliver high-quality engineering solutions on safety-critical projects.

• Extensive C&I engineering design experience across the full project lifecycle.
• Strong knowledge of Safety Instrumented Systems (IEC 61511 & IEC 61508).
• Experience leading and mentoring engineering teams.
• Knowledge of instrumentation installation within hazardous/explosive process environments.
• Understanding of ATEX, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive and EMC Compliance.
• Experience with engineering risk management, HSE requirements, project reporting, KPIs and change management.
• Good understanding of UK engineering regulations, including CDM.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Current SC or BPSS Clearance, or the ability to obtain SC Clearance.

• Previous experience working on nuclear fuel enrichment projects or within the wider nuclear industry.
• Experience working on highly regulated process plants.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng).
• Valid Safety Passport or equivalent.

• Degree qualified in a relevant engineering discipline or equivalent industry experience.
