Rate: -27.81 PAYE/-36.40 Umbrella

Join our dynamic team in the Strategic Void Management service area as a Principal Building Surveyor - Voids! We are dedicated to enhancing the living standards in our community, and we want you to be a part of our mission!

About the Role:
As the Principal Building Surveyor, you will lead a specialist team, ensuring the effective repair, maintenance, and improvement of council-owned properties. You will be pivotal in delivering a top-notch housing surveying service that aligns with our values and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse portfolio with a budget of approximately -2 million annually.
  • Oversee responsive repairs and planned maintenance for all council properties.
  • Collaborate with contractors and partners to enhance service delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with Health & Safety standards and legislation.
  • Conduct regular inspections and evaluations for continuous improvement.

What We Are Looking For:

  • Expertise: Significant experience in building inspection, contract management, and disrepair legislation.
  • Qualifications: A degree or HND in building technology, construction, or a related field.
  • Skills: Strong IT proficiency, excellent report-writing abilities, and budget management expertise.
  • Personal Qualities: Team player with effective communication skills and a commitment to equality and diversity.
