Principal / Authorising Engineer (Electrical) UK-Wide Remote with Travel £75,000 + Benefits Step out of operations and into technical authority. If you re currently operating as a Senior Authorised Person or Authorising Engineer within an NHS Trust, MOD environment or FM provider, this is the opportunity to step into a position where you define electrical safety standards not just work within them. This role combines the scope of a Principal Authorising Engineer with the flexibility and exposure of a multi-site Authorising position, giving you both strategic influence and broad technical reach across critical infrastructure environments. You will play a key role in maintaining operational safety standards, supporting succession planning, and acting as the focal point for all electrical safety matters within the business. You ll operate as a key technical authority across a portfolio of NHS and MOD sites, ensuring Safe Systems of Work are compliant, robust, and consistently applied. Responsibilities: Undertaking technical compliance audits and reporting on non-compliance across sites. Assessing, developing and recommending engineers for Authorised Person (AP) appointments. Providing assurance that site-level operations align with approved SSoW through audits and competency assessments. Evaluating competence, training and experience of APs and supporting ongoing development.
