A Little More About Your Role… The management of utilities risk is of great importance to our Property and Buildings Clients. Issues such as capacity shortages, encroachment on ageing assets and commercial opportunities are increasingly requiring a particular skill set to manage. If you have a background in utilities engineering and would like to work for one of the world’s premier Consulting Engineering Firms, WSP is currently recruiting for a Principal level Utilities Infrastructure Consultant.The Successful Candidate Will Be Responsible For
Working out of WSP head office at 70 Chancery Lane office or Cheltenham office, both centrally located.Working closely with the Building Services team to maintain existing and develop new client relationships – winning workWorking closely with our Clients to help deliver complex and demanding key schemesSuccessfully bidding, winning and delivering schemes on budgetEnsuring a high standard of work and information is provided to clientsProviding an experienced senior point of contact for clients on key projectsMentoring team membersMaking a demonstrable contribution to the company’s turnover and profitabilityQuality service and professional reputationCommercially aware and efficient at problem solvingWhat We Will Be Looking For You To Demonstrate
Chartered Engineer or open/working towards Chartered Engineer statusMechanical / Electrical / Civil Engineering DegreeDemonstrated experience delivering utility connections, diversions and utility infrastructure strategies for small, medium and large schemes in the UKUnderstanding of requirements of Electricity, Gas, Water, and Telecommunications networks ownersExperience of Multi-utility / iDNO (independent Distribution Network Operators) / ICP (Independent Connection Provider)Project experience of large multi-disciplinary buildings schemesProven ability to work on multiple projects concurrently and effectively organise your time between themProven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationshipsTechnical and commercial understanding of the industryAbility to communicate technical detail effectively and networking skillsMust be able to obtain UK vetting level of Security CheckDon’t quite meet all the criteria?
