Principal/ Associate Mechanical/ Electrical

OverviewThe opportunity: To join a privately owned, long established, award-winning, national MEP team and to become the regional leader in Manchester. With high potential for growth and opportunity, including equity in the medium/ long term, as your would-be line manager recently achieved in another region. To take the lead role on a diverse portfolio of projects, including in judicial, custodial, defence, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, historic, industrial, education and healthcare. Working through RIBA stages 1-7. Primarily refurbishments and smaller schemes, with a leaning to re-use and refurbishment and sustainably, minimising impact on planet. Potential to join at Principal or Associate grade, with an M or E background. To get close to high quality clients and be an account manager and developer. Flexible employer, with hybrid working and flexitime (around core hours 10:00-16:00). Cohesive and communicative team, across offices. Competitive starting salary of between £55,000 and £75,000, reviewed biannually- meritocracy. 28 days annual leave, pension, healthcare, potential for bonus.
Responsibilities
Lead role on a diverse portfolio of projects across judicial, custodial, defence, commercial, leisure, retail, residential, historic, industrial, education and healthcare, working through RIBA stages 1-7.
Manage refurbishments and smaller schemes with a focus on reuse and sustainability.
Develop business with high quality clients; act as account manager and developer for Manchester region.
Collaborate with a cohesive team across offices; adapt to hybrid/flexitime working.
Requirements
Ambitious, with the talent and motivation to deliver the business development plan and develop existing regional and national clients in and around Manchester.
Competent and confident in taking the lead on projects and delivering these successfully, from RIBA stages 1-7.
At least 8 years of building services design experience in the UK; potentially more.
