Salary: -55,000 - -70,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is looking for a Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant to join its established team in Birmingham. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious professional to take on a senior leadership role, managing high-value air quality projects, mentoring junior colleagues, and contributing to business growth in the Midlands.

As a Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant, you will oversee a range of technical work including dispersion modelling, air quality impact assessments, and regulatory compliance projects. You will also play a key role in client liaison, business development, and ensuring technical excellence across project delivery. This role offers clear progression opportunities to Associate or Director level within the organisation.

Duties for the role of Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant include:

• Leading and managing major air quality consultancy projects

• Delivering modelling, impact assessments, and ES chapters

• Producing and reviewing high-quality technical reports

• Mentoring and supporting junior staff

• Building strong client relationships and supporting business development

• Contributing to strategic growth of the Birmingham office

Skills and experience required for the role of Senior/Principal Air Quality Consultant:

• 6+ years of consultancy or regulatory experience in air quality

• Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, and IAQM/EPUK guidance

• Degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related discipline

• Chartered status (CEnv/IAQM) or working towards it desirable

• Strong communication, leadership, and project management skills

• Full UK driving licence
