PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT - BIRMINGHAM - -55,000 to -70,000 + Benefits

A leading environmental consultancy is seeking a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT to join and lead its growing team in Birmingham. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of air quality projects, team leadership, and business development within a highly respected consultancy.

As a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT, you will be responsible for managing and delivering high-profile projects across sectors including infrastructure, transport, and urban development. You will also play a key role in mentoring junior consultants, maintaining client relationships, and supporting strategic growth across the Midlands.

We are looking for a PRINCIPAL AIR QUALITY CONSULTANT with:

• 7+ years'' experience in air quality consultancy or regulation

• Proven track record of team leadership and project management

• Strong knowledge of ADMS, AERMOD, LAQM, and EPUK/IAQM guidance

• Excellent communication and technical report-writing skills

• A relevant degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Geography, or related field

• Chartered status (CEnv, IAQM) or working toward it

• Full UK driving licence

This Birmingham-based role offers a -55,000 to -70,000 salary, hybrid working, private healthcare, pension, bonus scheme, and a clear pathway to Director level.
