A market-leading consultancy is seeking a highly experienced PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to lead major projects and mentor junior talent from its central London office. This is a standout opportunity for a technically confident and commercially minded PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT to shape strategy, influence design outcomes, and deliver excellence across building acoustics and environmental noise sectors.
As a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT, you will oversee delivery across high-value residential, commercial, cultural and infrastructure schemes. You''ll drive client engagement, quality assurance, and team development while maintaining a hands-on technical role in modelling and acoustic design.
We are looking for a PRINCIPAL ACOUSTIC CONSULTANT with:
8+ years'' experience in acoustic consultancy, including leadership responsibilities
Expertise in building acoustics, sound insulation, planning support, and acoustic modelling
Deep understanding of BB93, BS8233, and national planning policy
Proven client management and project delivery record
Strong mentoring and team leadership skills
Proficiency in tools such as ODEON, CadnaA, or SoundPLAN
Chartered or working towards chartership with the IOA
Full UK driving licence
