Aztrum is pleased to be working with a reputable UK-based multidisciplinary consultancy to appoint a Principal Acoustic Consultant to join their growing Acoustics division in Newcastle-upon-Tyne. Key Responsibilities
As a Principal Acoustic Consultant, you will:
- Lead and manage complex investigations into noise and vibration issues (environmental, building acoustics, industrial, or transportation-related)
- Provide expert reports and technical advice to legal, insurance, and commercial clients
- Undertake site inspections, noise monitoring, data analysis, and modelling
- Act as an expert witness when required (training provided if needed)
- Mentor junior team members and help shape the future of the acoustics discipline
- Build client relationships and contribute to business development activities
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for a candidate who can demonstrate:
- At least 6+ years of experience in acoustics consultancy (building, environmental, or industrial)
- MSc or BSc in Acoustics or a related discipline
- Strong technical and report writing skills
- UK driving licence (essential due to occasional site visits)
