Quantum Scholars is looking for a supportive and reliable Primary Tutor to work with primary-aged pupils in Taunton, Somerset. This is an in-person tutoring role and is not online work.

The role will involve providing tailored educational support to pupils who may benefit from additional help with their learning, confidence and engagement. You will be expected to build positive relationships with pupils and adapt your approach to meet individual needs.

The role may involve

• Delivering one-to-one or small-group tuition to primary-aged pupils
• Supporting pupils with core subjects such as English and maths
• Planning engaging and appropriate learning activities
• Adapting teaching to suit different abilities and learning needs
• Helping pupils develop confidence, independence and positive attitudes towards learning
• Monitoring progress and providing appropriate feedback
• Maintaining clear and professional communication with relevant professionals
• Following safeguarding procedures at all times

Essential requirements

• Experience working with primary-aged children in an educational or tutoring setting
• A good understanding of the primary curriculum
• The ability to plan and deliver engaging, personalised learning
• Strong communication, organisation and relationship-building skills
• A patient, flexible and supportive approach
• A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
• Willingness to undertake an enhanced DBS check, where required
• Satisfactory professional references
• You must have the right to work in the UK.
