Veritas Education is working in partnership with a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Lewisham to recruit a committed and compassionate Primary Teaching Assistant for a September 2026 start.

This OFSTED-rated ''Good'' school is recognised for its supportive ethos and strong commitment to pupils'' academic success, emotional wellbeing, and personal development. As a Teaching Assistant, you will collaborate closely with the class teacher and SENCO to deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group support, helping pupils build confidence, stay engaged, and reach their full potential.

This role would suit someone who is patient, proactive, and empathetic, with a genuine passion for supporting children-including those with additional needs-in a nurturing school environment.

• Experience working with children in a primary school setting (essential)
• Knowledge of strategies to support learning, communication, and behaviour
• A calm, caring, and resilient approach
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team

• Deliver targeted 1:1 and small-group interventions
• Support the class teacher with differentiated learning activities
• Encourage pupils'' social, emotional, and behavioural development
• Use creative and engaging approaches to enhance learning
• Track pupil progress and provide feedback to the class teacher and SENCO
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

• Friendly and supportive school community
• Strong leadership and experienced SENCO team
• Access to ongoing CPD and professional development
