Reception Teaching Assistant -Wigan Primary School

Tradewind Recruitment is currently seeking a dedicated Reception Teaching Assistant to join a vibrant, 2-form entry primary school in Wigan. This full-time, ongoing role will run from November until July 2027.

Role Details

Position: Reception Teaching Assistant (EYFS)

Location: Wigan

Commitment: 5 days a week (Full-Time, Monday to Friday)

Pay Rate: -9499 a day

Key Requirements

Experience: Previous experience working within an Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) setting, ideally supporting a reception class.

Skills: A strong understanding of the Early Years curriculum, phonics support, and learning through play.

Commitment: Available for a long-term, full-term placement running through the rest of the academic year until July 2027.

What We Are Looking For-

Hold a recognised Level 2 qualification (or equivalent) in Childcare, Early Years, or Supporting Teaching and Learning.

Previous professional experience working within a nursery or EYFS primary setting.

A warm, approachable personality with a genuine passion for early childhood education.

Strong knowledge of the EYFS framework and developmental milestones.

Enhanced DBS certificate on the update service (or willingness to apply for one through Tradewind).

CV must cover the last 10 years of employment history where possible, and any employment breaks must be explained.

Legal right to work in the UK.
