Primary Teaching Assistant

TeacherActive is proud to be working with a number of mainstream primary schools in Leeds, who are looking to appoint a Primary Teaching Assistant. The schools have a welcoming and supportive environment, with a strong focus on nurturing pupils’ confidence and encouraging a love of learning from an early age.

The schools are looking to take on a Primary Teaching Assistant on a part time, long-term basis starting immediately. The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will be supporting pupils across Key Stage 1, working closely with the class teacher to deliver engaging lessons and provide targeted support to pupils who need additional help.

The successful Primary Teaching Assistant will have:

• Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification
• Experience working within a primary school, ideally in Key Stage 1
• A good understanding of the Primary Curriculum
• Strong communication and classroom support skills
• A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning
• A positive and enthusiastic attitude
