GSL Education are seeking a dedicated Primary Teaching Assistant to join welcoming schools in Grimsby. This is a fantastic opportunity to support children in their educational journey while working alongside passionate and experienced teaching staff.
Role Overview:
As a Primary TA, you will work closely with class teachers to provide targeted support to pupils across the school. You will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, assist with lesson delivery, and give extra help to children who need additional support to reach their full potential.
Responsibilities as a Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Support the delivery of engaging and interactive lessons.
- Work with small groups or individual pupils to reinforce learning.
- Assist pupils with special educational needs (SEN) or specific learning challenges.
- Help maintain a safe, calm, and stimulating classroom environment.
- Support children’s social, emotional, and personal development.
- Prepare learning materials and assist with classroom organisation.
Requirements for Primary Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with children in an educational or care setting is desirable.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- A patient, nurturing, and proactive approach to supporting young learners.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- A valid enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
- A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
