Primary - Teaching Assistant

Role OverviewWe are seeking a proactive and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to provide full-time support within a mainstream primary school setting from September. The role is likely to be based across EYFS and KS1, supporting pupils'' learning, development, and wellbeing within the classroom environment.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport teaching and learning activities under the direction of the class teacher.Work with individuals and small groups to reinforce learning objectives.Promote positive behaviour and engagement in classroom activities.Assist with the preparation of learning resources and classroom organisation.Support children''s social, emotional, and educational development.Use initiative to respond to pupil needs and adapt support where required.Contribute positively as part of the wider school team.Essential CriteriaExperience working as a Teaching Assistant within a primary school setting.Knowledge and experience of supporting children in EYFS and/or KS1.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Proactive approach with the ability to work independently and use initiative.Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and families.Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.Desirable CriteriaExperience working across both EYFS and KS1.Experience supporting children with Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).Understanding of inclusive classroom practices and SEND support strategies.Relevant TA qualification or equivalent ..... full job details .....
